E1L Outdoorsmanベースの新規商品です。

Cree 7090 XR-E LED + SUREFIRE TIR Lens搭載、SUREFIRE 純正 3V Lithium SF123A ( 3V CR123A LITHIUM ) x1本使用で2段調光、High： 80lms. / 1.3hrs.  Low： 5lms. / 37hrs.を実現するLEDフラッシュライトです。
ボディーは伝統の6020 T8 エアロスペースグレード アルミボディー ( 航空宇宙用アルミ鋼材 )、表面処理は、ミルスペック Type III ハードアノダイズドブラックを施しています。
ミリタリー向けでは無くLaw Enforcement ( ローエンフォースメント )、Police / Detective ( ポリス / ディテクティブ )向け商品で、ボディーのチェッカリングを敢えて無くすことでホルスターレスでベルトなどにダイレクトに取りつけクイックリリースしやすい形状になっています。

The E1B was developed as an everyday-carry flashlight for undercover officers and as a backup light for patrol officers — but it's also ideal for outdoor, self-defense, and everyday use by civilians. The Backup features a virtually indestructible, electronically regulated light emitting diode (LED) that, on its "high" setting, produces a smooth, tactical-level beam (enough light to temporarily  overwhelm the night-adapted vision of an aggressor) with four times the output, of a two-D-cell flashlight. 2007年にマイナーチェンジした新型 シュアファイアー L1 デジタル ルママックスです。
ポケットサイズに近づき3V Lithium CR123A x1本で65ルーメンズにパワーアップを果たしたコンパクト LED フラッシュライトです。
型番は、旧型と一緒ですが中身やパワーは別もんです(笑)
LEDの変更、それに伴う光学系の変更、ボディーの縮小スリム化、マイナーチェンジというよりかは、フルモデルチェンジという方が相応しいかもしれません。
Luxeon 1Watt LED→luxeon 3Watt LED→現行Cree 7090 XR-Eと変化し、弱点であったグキッと角型に飛ぶ照射パターンも、新設計TIR LENS ( Total Internal Reflection Lens )を使い円に近いレンズ集光＋周辺光が出せるという素晴らしい進化を遂げました。
明るさとランタイムもハイビームで65lms./1.5hrs.、ロービームで10lms./16hrs.です。
旧型SUREFIRE L1では電池が2本入りそうな大きさのボディーでしたが、現行型はかなりシェイプされ短縮されています。
同じく電池1本のSUREFIRE E1E Executive EliteやSUREFIRE E1L-HA Outdoorsman系に比べるとSUREFIRE L1-HA-WH Lumamaxは、ボディー内コンバーター設置／加圧式LOW・HIGH切替モメンタリーツイストスイッチの採用などでやや大きい感はありますが、大きすぎず小さすぎず程良く手に馴染むサイズです。
